Goraspak is product of Goras Bhandar Wardha. Gorpak is known for its unique taste. If you are foodie just taste it. Goraspak is hand made cookies.
Gosanwardhan Goras Bhandar was started at Wardha in 1931 by Mahatma Gandhi, Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Shri Jamnalal Bajaj. Taking care of and serving the cows was close to Jamnalalji’s heart. The main objective of the initiative was conservation and development of cows, to develop good breed of cows, to provide alternative resources to farmers, to provide good bulls and good quality of fertilizers to farmers, to give cow milk producers, good and fair price for milk and to work for the financial uplift of the farmers. During inception the yield was 200-300 litres of milk every day, which has risen to 12,000 to 13,000 litres a day; out of which 6000 litres is distributed to the people of Wardha. The rest is used to prepare and sell milk products like Goraspak, Butter milk, Peda, Basundi and Shreekhand which are relished by the public. The organisation has earned goodwill and support of the people of Wardha, for initiating schemes for the welfare of the cows. It is a milk federation that gives highest price for cow’s milk to the producers in Wardha.
